A: No, there will be a $5 admission charge. Children under 5 years of age are free. You may also purchase VIP tickets for all Thursday concerts at a cost of $35. VIP tickets get you into the VIP tent lounge where you receive 2 free drink coupons (beer/wine/soda/water), light appetizers provided by The Dish at Canalside, private bathrooms, access to the front of the stage viewing area, and a souvenir 2017 Canalside Live Cup! The VIP tent is 21 years of age or older. VIP Tickets can be purchased on ticketfly.com. Note: day-of VIP tickets can be purchased for $35 at the ticket tent, if not already sold out prior to the concert. *Please note that tickets purchased at Consumer’s Beverages prior to the event are available while supplies last.
Q: Are there any free tickets or give-a-ways available?
A: Yes, Understanding that a $5 fee may not be an option for all, the Canalside Cares Program was created to provide a limited number of free tickets to each concert, along with other Canalside activities, including ice skating during the winter months. Details on how to apply will be announced when tickets go on sale.
Q: Can I bring my own folding chairs?
A: Yes, you may bring your own chairs for sitting in the General Admission area and VIP tent lounge area. No chairs are permitted in the areas indicated by signs near the front of the stage.
Q: Are cameras permitted?
A: Small handheld or personal cameras are allowed. Professional cameras of any kind are not permitted without a media pass.

Q: What time do gates open? What time do the bands go on stage?
A: Gates open at 5:00 pm for each Thursday concert. Typically, music will start at 6 pm and the headliner will go on stage at around 8pm, depending on concert start time.
Q: Are Canalside Live concerts open to all ages?
A: Yes! However, the VIP section is 21 and over only.
Q: Are concerts rain or shine?
A: Yes. For the safety of our patrons, concerts will be cancelled in the case of severe weather – i.e. thunder, lightning, or very strong winds.
Q: I want to dock my boat for a concert. Do you take reservations?
A: No dock reservations are allowed for concerts or paid special events. Rafting of similar-sized vessels is mandatory if no dock space is available. For dock rates, visit our general FAQ Page.

Visitors attending the Canalside Live evening concerts throughout the summer are encouraged to arrive early to ensure orderly entry into the concert. Gates open at 5 p.m. for VIP ticket holders; the VIP entrance is located at Main and Perry streets. General admission opens at 5:00 p.m. The entrance for General Admission is located on Hanover St. There is no re-entry allowed to the Canalside Live concert series.
NEW: Gates will close at 9:30 p.m., no entry will be allowed after 9:30 p.m. In addition, any patron who is ejected from the concert and attempts re-entry will be charged with criminal trespassing. No backpacks will be allowed at Canalside Live concerts.
All bags and person are subject to security inspection. The following information is designed to assist in expediting the entry process.
ITEMS THAT MUST BE PLACED ON THE SECURITY INSPECTION TABLES:
Bags (Bag Policy – only diaper bags and small purses/handbags are permitted)
PROHIBITED ITEMS AT CANALSIDE CONCERTS
Weapons of any kind
Backpacks/Large tote bags
Illegal drugs/drug paraphernalia
Outside food or beverage, including coolers
All professional video and photo cameras
Selfie sticks, Tripods or Monopods
Animals (unless a service animal)
Bicycles (within the secure perimeter)
Any item deemed inappropriate or dangerous by security
In addition, this season there will be new protocols regarding alcohol consumption.
Any guest who is deemed intoxicated upon arrival will not be permitted to enter.
Anyone under the age of 21 who has alcohol on them will be ejected from the site.
Any adult who provides alcohol to somebody under the age of 21 will be ejected.
Staff may ask for proof of age from anyone wishing to purchase alcohol.
There will be a maximum of two beers sold to any one person at one time.
Anyone who staff believes to be intoxicated will be immediately ejected.
