Morning : Allagash White
Effervescent, lightly tart and spicy, Allagash makes a quintessential Belgian-style wheat ale that will certainly brighten up your morning of food prep. Brewed with a proprietary blend of coriander and orange peel, White is rooted in the Belgian tradition of complexity through simplicity. If Beermosas are your thing, start with one of the best Belgian White Ales on the market. Midday : Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale
Nary a Thanksgiving holiday goes by without Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale showing up to the party. This award-winning American IPA is packed with pine and citrus notes that ring our bell every year. One of the few hop forward holiday ales, Celebration has been brewed since 1981 and is regarded as one of the very first American-style IPAs. Now we’re thirsty. Dinner : Ommegang Hennepin
Most people have a favorite beverage for their dinner table at Thanksgiving…ours being a wonderfully put together Saison from Brewery Ommegang; Hennepin. This beer hits all the right spots in turkey town by offering a myriad of subtleties to complement and contrast your whole meal. See how well it works with your cheese plate and you’ll find the same joy in pairing it with turkey and stuffing. Pass the potatoes, please. Dessert : Samuel Smith’s Oatmeal Stout
Pie is key. It’s the ultimate reason to wake up from your post dinner nap. What to drink with it? We find that a smooth and creamy sweet stout pairs perfectly with pumpkin pie and does equally well with pecan. Oat Stouts happen to also be a perfect base for an adult “Beer Float” with chocolate ice cream and almonds! Nightcap : Lagunitas Brown Shugga
If pie isn’t your bag, a delicious American Strong Ale just might be. Dank bitterness, citrus aromas and slick booze hover above layers of caramel malt sweetness and super drinkability. Be careful with this one folks, Shugga will sew you to your recliner. Grab a blanket and snuggle in. Today was a good day.
BOO! Here is a list of some of our favorite beers to drink for halloween! They are so good it’s scary!
MAGIC HAT – NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD VARIETY PACK
The Night of the Living Dead Variety Pack contains a cabal of beers carefully selected to scare the howl out of autumn thirsts and exorcise the season’s most frightening fluid cravings. Every time one is opened, three bottles of four different ales materialize.
Featuring: Heart of Darkness | Stout | ABV: 5.7%
Heart of Darkness is a diabolically delicious stout with silky, full-bodied mouthfeel swirling around a dreamlike undercurrent of bittersweet chocolate from deep roasted malts. Howl | Lager | ABV: 4.6%
Howl is a black lager born on the wailing winds during the darkest of nights. In its depths, we discover a medium body, rich with deep roasted malt flavors of dark chocolate and coffee, and a smooth hop bitterness pacing the horizon. Lucky Kat | IPA | ABV: 5.8%
Lucky Kat is an Amber IPA with a sweet hop nose and a smooth, medium body whose deliciously intense hop bite is balanced by a clean malty backbone that purrs of caramel and toast. Jinx | Scotch Ale | ABV: 6.9
A toast to dancing bonfires and falling leaves, jinx is a medium-bodied scotch ale boasting hints of chocolate and caramel malts with a slightly smoky finish.
SOUTHERN TIER – WARLOCK
Imperial Stout | ABV: 8.6%
Warlock is brewed to enchant your palate on its own & also to counterpoint our Imperial Ale, Pumking. Make your own black magic by carefully pouring this Imperial Stout into a goblet. Dark and mysterious, reanimate your senses with Warlock’s huge roasted malt character, moderate carbonation & a spiced pumpkin pie aroma.
FLYING MONKEYS – PARANORMAL
Imperial Ale | ABV:10.1%
Doused with exotic warm spices, Paranormal evokes the aromas of pumpkin pie, graham cracker crust, and the toasty aura of autumn. Pouring with an otherworldly orange glimmer, Paranormal channels the subtle blend of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and allspice in the spirited body of a 10% alc./vol. beer. Brewed with roasted pumpkin and spices, Paranormal’s rich mouthfeel and a slightly hazy body emerge from a realm where substance and shadow cross.
DOGFISH HEAD – FLESH AND BLOOD
IPA | 7.5%
Brewed with mouth-puckering lemon flesh, sweet orange peel and blood orange juice, Flesh & Blood balances the resinous hoppy characteristics of an American IPA with the explosive zesty fruitiness and subtle drying tartness of citrus to deliver a highly quaffable ale that’s incredibly unique and lovely to down the whole year round.
