World Beer Tour – FAQ

  • HOW DO I JOIN THE TOUR?

Stop in to one of our convenient Western New York locations and ask to join the World Beer Tour. For $5 you will receive your official World Beer Tour tour card and World Beer Tour beer list.

  • HOW DOES IT WORK?

The World Beer Tour is a year long challenge to try 100 beers from your Tour Beer List. Each time you purchase a beer from the World Beer Tour Beer List, have your Tour Card scanned at the cash register. Your purchases will then automatically be tallied and added to your individual online progress page. Post reviews, and if you wish, your can choose to post your progress to see how you are doing compared to other World Beer Tour members!

  • WHAT ARE THE RULES?

The store you sign up at is considered your “home store”. The first person to reach the finish line at 100 beers at each location is considered that store’s winner and will receive a special prize! All other people to complete the tour before 11-15-2015 deadline will be given a choice of 3 prizes. There is also a “halfway” prize when you reach 50 beers! If that wasn’t enough, we also have Mini-Tours from specific breweries and importers and more will be announced via email. Prizes for completion of the mini-tours will be posted on the Mini-Tours section of the welcome page.

  • WHAT PACKAGES QUALIFY?

The standard package size for a beer on the beer list is what needs to be purchased. Standard packages are defined by the fact that every beer within that package is the same flavor. (ie) If a beer comes in a 6 pack, that beer qualifies, if it comes in a 4 pack, the same… Larger quantities (12-pack, 24-pack, Keg) will obviously qualify. Variety packs do not qualify.

  • WHAT ABOUT SINGLE BOTTLES?

Some of the beer on the beer tour beer list only comes as a single 11.2oz, 16.9oz, 18.7oz, 22 or 25.4oz. bottle, making those eligible also. For example, Rochefort 8 only comes in an 11.2oz (33cl) bottle, making it the standard package size for that specific beer. “Make your own 6-pack” beers do not qualify unless you are purchasing the original standard package size of said beer.

  • DO GROWLER FILLS QUALIFY?

Growler fills do indeed qualify for any beer on the beer tour beer list.
